Study No. 5

Although initially simple looking, on searching beneath the surface, we discover that there is much within this study for us to engage with. The more customary elements of sound, articulation and intervals (more often than not rising and in diminuendo) are here, requiring considerate amounts of thought. With frequent rests throughout, how we can create atmosphere through silence and make it very much a part of our performance, is also on the agenda.
