Double Tongue Building Blocks
In order for the tongue to move freely, the throat should be as unrestricted as possible. To commence with, try a very gentle DOOGAH, DEEGOH, DOGGAH, DAHGAH, keeping your tongue at all times as close to the various points of contact on the roof of the mouth. With both TKTK and DGDG, a danger is that the tongue constantly and violently hits the same points in the mouth and with increased speed rapidly becomes exhausted. In the third octave, make sure that the tongue doesn’t stiffen up and become explosive.
